Great Sold Out Show!
We had a great time on Thurdsay night! A great audience got to see LA bands from years back and a few they didn't even know they knew! My personal favorite was the great clip of the Flyboys rockin' out. Really something special. Big thanks go to Bret and the Cinefamily crew and everyone at the Don't Knock the Rock Festival, especially Allison and Tiffany Anders.

"A Visit from the Goon Squad"
Jennifer Egan's new, well reviewed novel, "A Visit from the Goon Squad," contains a chapter set in the 70's/80's San Francisco punk scene. The Mabuhay, the Mutants, Avengers, Sleepers, Dead Kennedys and more are mentioned. On page 35 of the hardback book, the novel mentions Joe Rees and Target Video. Very cool to be in a widely read novel. A pretty unexpected moment in my summer reading!

TargetVideo77 show at Don't Knock the Rock Festival
On Thursday, July 29, 2010 Target Video comes back to the Silent Movie Theater on Fairfax in Los Angeles! The focus is SoCal this year, but you can never tell what Joe will slip in.... maybe a little SF material? Come out and support us and the Don't Knock the Rock Festival. The festival was started by Tiffany and Allison Anders and they do a great service to the community by finding great music films to screen. More to come on bands Joe's including...
